Federal Minister for Energy “Power Division” Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Laghari addressed the Chairman and Chief Executive Officers of Power Distribution Companies through video link. He said that electricity theft is an economic terrorism which has badly affected the country's economy. He asked the officers of the discos to use technology to create innovation in the drive to eradicate electricity theft. The federal minister while issuing instructions to all the discos said that competent officers should be appointed by establishing modern customer service centers across the country for timely resolution of customer complaints. The federal minister issued a directive to treat the consumers with good manners and said that the installation of new electricity connections will not be tolerated at all. 
The federal minister emphasized on eliminating bureaucracy and treating public representatives and common consumers well. Apart from this, the Federal Minister issued instructions to Discos management to keep all the financial records of the company updated and compile the details of the assets.
